Instructor Pledge
We the instructors solemnly pledge that we will
use the martial arts solely for purposes of self defense, never for
purposes of aggression, and will teach our students to do
likewise. We will treat with respect both our teachers and our
students. The welfare of our students will be our first
consideration. We will not permit considerations of race,
religion, national origin, or social standing to influence in any way
our relations with our students. We will strive to impart to our
students an attitude of respect and appreciation for the teachings of
the martial arts, and an understanding of the responsibility that a
knowledge of martial arts entails. We will never sanction the use
of martial arts for destructive or harmful ends. We make these
promises solemnly and on our honor.
